Bon Voyage!

As the time neared for me to leave, I began to take stock of the things I would miss out on. Among them were things like my niece, Ziza’s last gymnastics meet; it would be the only one I’d miss all season. I’ll miss my nephew, Jay’s spring performance at his school; his last as an elementary schooler. I’ll miss the birth of my best friend’s second child; her last one if you let her tell it.

Once I made the decision to leap, I immediately went into planning mode. With the pandemic upending everything we knew to be normal in 2020, I hadn’t really done a lot of travel planning in quite a while. Could I do Six Weeks?

Le Cordon Bleu has been a dream of mine that started back when I was 12-years-old. I’ve always loved cooking. I started with scramblings eggs in the microwave at the age of 3. By 5 or 6 I’d learned to grill steak, albeit with way too much pepper, on the outdoor grill, and by age 12 or 13 I’d made my first entire Thanksgiving meal.
